point that is farther _back_ in the book, and such that an inf-loop

Yeah... That whole intro kind of needs to be reworded and have that link
back to chapter 6 fixed.

I've created a trac ticket for this, as it'd be nice to ensure that this
intro is actually accurate in all ways.
